A New Year - New Colors for Your Home

I can't but help look forward to Spring with this cold weather!

In color psychology, pink is a sign of hope. It is a positive color inspiring warm and comforting feelings, a sense that everything will be okay.  Red is associated with energy, war, danger, strength, power, determination as well as passion, desire, and love. Red is a very emotionally intense color.

Which one will you decide to decorate with? Follow our Color Spotlight boards on Pinterest for inspiration.

Go bold and big with the hydrangea wallcovering from Chelsea. The cheerful bursts of pink and and orange definitely say Spring! Benjamin Moore's Limesickle is a lovely light green that just brings in a touch of color.

Another great floral pattern from York's Casa Bella Collection has touches of pink and green. Bringing the outdoors in to your space.

Since Valentines Day is right around the corner I thought the Smooches wallpaper from the Risky Business collection would be appropriate. The Marathon fabric from Thibaut is a fun fabric that can bring that pop of color that you need to your space. This size design would be best for custom cushions and pillows.

I love this combination for a tween girls bedroom! The damask swirl wallpaper pattern from Christel is perfect for a focal wallpaper. Or better yet, place the wallpaper on the top with a white chair rail and paint the bottom portion of the wall Benjamin Moore Ribbon Pink. The whimsical fabric from Stout, Tophat, has such a small design repeat it would be ideal for cornice boards.

We have worked with a lot of clients that want to make a statement in their dining room. We have selected a deep red damask medallion wallpaper that coordinates with Benjamin Moore's Ratton and Dinner Party. The color Ratton would be perfect for a bottom color on a split wall with a chair rail. The Embroidered Fabric from Kravet is a nice blend of sophistication and elegance. The fabric would look lovely in a custom window treatment.

Love Love Love this color red especially on a piece of furniture. Talk about making a statement. From the Williamsburg collection, Cornwallis Red is very rich and regal.

The Geometric Diamond wallpaper from Tres Chic is a nice opposite to the vintage "Chairs" wallpaper from Thibaut's Barbados. Benjamin Moore's color Poppy works well with both wallpaper designs.
